Michael Loper

After getting caught pretending to be a doctor, Anthony decided he needed to bring in some outside help to gain credibility. He recently introduced a new team member with this statement:

"Dr. Michael Loper is a Medical Doctor, Biochemist, and a former professional baseball player with the St. Louis Cardinal organization. He received a Masters in Biochemistry from the University of Mississippi, a Masters in Health Service and Administration from St. Joseph's College, and his MD from St. Matthew's University School of Medicine. As a Professor of Pharmacy and Medicine..."

Little information is available on Michael Loper, but all signs point toward this being yet another scam made up by Anthony.

Don't take our word for it. Verify the facts yourself:

  1. Tony Lies. Anthony already has a history of making outlandish false claims, such as that he is a Licensed Naturopathic Physician or that he is a successful author of a best-selling book.
  2. Not a doctor. Although Michael Loper uses an address and phone number (425 S. Colombia St., #109, Bogalusa, LA 70427, Telephone: 985-750-0556) tied to Louisiana, a Louisiana licensure search shows he is not a doctor in that state. (Perhaps he is licensed in another state, but then it is unlikely he is a practicing doctor as Anthony claims.)
  3. Fake Degree #1. According to St. Joseph's College (per a call to 631-687-5100 on Nov 18, 2010), the institution does not, nor has it ever, offered a degree in "Masters in Health Service and Administration." (The closest match is a "Masters in Health Care Management," but that wasn't introduced until some time in 2002-2008.)
  4. Fake Degree #2. According to the University of Mississippi (per a call to 662-915-7792 on Nov 18, 2010), the institution does not offer a degree in "Masters in Biochemistry." (The closest matches are "Masters in Chemistry" or "Masters in Biological Sciences.")
  5. Fishy Degree #3. The place where Loper is said to have earned an MD is actually an off-shore (Cayman Islands) school with questionable credibility that has been black-balled by several states (California, Texas, etc.). St. Matthew's University School of Medicine was unable to confirm (or deny) that Michael Loper obtained a degree from their institution (per a call to 407-488-1732 on Nov 18, 2010).
  6. Fake Institution. Anthony claims that Michael Loper owns the Delta Wellness Research Laboratory, yet no such institution appears to exist. A Google search for the laboratory returns only one result: the page where Anthony tries to claim that such an institution exists.
  7. Not a Baseball Pro. According to the St. Louis Cardinals (per a call to 314-345-9600 on Nov 18, 2010), there was no such pro (or even semi-pro) player with the name Michael Loper in the past 15 years, and nobody has heard of him.
  8. Unverified Professor. Anthony has not identified the name of the institution where Michael Loper is a supposed "Professor of Pharmacy and Medicine." But given that Anthony said it, it is unlikely to be true.
  9. Unlikely partnership. It is exceedingly unlikely that a professional licensed doctor would be willing to put his reputation on the line for a few extra bucks to partner with someone who repeatedly and openly lies to the public about his credentials, credibility, experience, and companies.
If Michael Loper really has the credentials that Anthony claims, we invite Anthony to clear this up by proving it. Anthony, please publicly release the following information on Michael Loper:
  • License number and state of licensure where Michael Loper is actively practicing as a medical doctor.
  • Years attended and city of attendance for St. Joseph's College, with an explanation of how he got a degree they don't offer.
  • Years attended and city of attendance for the University of Mississippi, with an explanation of how he got a degree they don't offer.
  • Years attended and city of attendance for St. Matthew's University School of Medicine.
  • Years spent as a professional baseball player for the St. Louis Cardinals, along with position played.
  • Name of the institution where Loper is a Professor of Pharmacy and Medicine.
  • Evidence of existence for the Delta Wellness Research Laboratory. Perhaps an address and phone number?
