Anthony: Just a Marketer
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does Anthony manufacture his products?
No.
Q: Is Anthony just a marketer?
Anthony is just a marketer, by his own defintion. His web site states (web page since deleted by Anthony): "What is the difference between Dr. Anthony Kleinsmith and Marketers? Marketers sell products to the public that are made by contract manufacturers." Anthony uses only contract manufacturing and so he is just a marketer. UPDATE (10/01/2010): Anthony has removed from his site the false claim of being different from marketers that use contract manufacturers! Unfortunately, his new wording is still somewhat deceptive ("We...contract manufacture..the product line.") given that they don't "contract manufacture" anything. They have product contract manufactured by third-party contract manufacturers.
Q: How do you know Anthony doesn't do manufacturing?
Manufacturing health supplements in Utah has several legal and safety requirements, including mandatory registration with the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food and Food Handler Permits for all individuals working with the product. For most facilities there is also a requirement for the production manager to have a Food Safety Manager Certification. Since Anthony's company has none of these things, he is either illegally manufacturing product in his basement without the appropriate safety controls in place, or he is lying about whether he does any manufacturing at all.
Q: But doesn't Anthony say he runs a manufacturing facility?
Anthony runs his company out of his home's basement (2764 N 675 East, Lehi, UT 84043). For months he has been running this unlicensed underground business illegally without the city's approval, which can be confirmed by calling Lehi city at (last confirmed on 08/04/2010). This further raises the question as to how permanent his business is, given that Utah County records show his home mortgage is in default since 2008, and there are numerous public notice filings on the foreclosure.
Q: So who manufactures Anthony's products?
Anthony doesn't want you to know. He has not disclosed which contract manufacturers he is using. It appears he is implying that Aspen Co Pac is manufacturing at lease some of his products, as he gives their info for the "Plant Address" he has listed on his Corporate Fraud Sheet.
Q: Do his products carry liability insurance?
No. Anthony lies on his Corporate Fraud Sheet that he has over $1 million in product liability coverage, but you can call the insurance agent Anthony lists (Richard Nelson) to hear for yourself that there is no such coverage and they don't even know who Anthony is. UPDATE 09/20/2010: The product liabilty agent, Richard Nelson, now knows who Anthony is, but still states that Anthony (and Immune Tree, Inc.) have no policy. Long before Richard Nelson even knew of their operation, Anthony, Chris Clarke, and Ben Horner were sending out the "Fact Sheet", lying to customers that product liability insurance was in place.
Q: Didn't Anthony write a colostrum book that sold over 500,000 copies?
No. Anthony claims his first book sold over 500,000 copies, yet he has not identified the name of this book, the publishers, or any other information. Those that know Anthony laugh at the idea that he may ever have written a book.
Q: Wasn't Anthony the research director of a prestigious health center?
No, not that he has ever identified. In his own bio, Anthony claims that "He served as the Marketing and Research Director for a prestigious anti-aging health center, utilizing growth hormone injections as the basis for anti-aging treatment." However he does not identify the name of the organization or the dates of his employment.
Q: Has Anthony ever done research or work for Cornell University?
Absolutely not. Anthony claims to be currently working on a book with Dr. Don Lein and an affiliation with Cornell University, Dr. Don Lein, and Dr. Al Fox. Dr. Fox denies any current relationship with Anthony. Anthony has recently released, as if it were new, a video that was produced in 2003, and it was posted without Fox's knowledge or consent. Emails and calls to Cornell's experts on colostrum resulted in a response that nobody even knew who Anthony was.
UPDATE (09/20/2010): This official letter from Dr. Al Fox further supports our claim that Anthony is lying:
"I understand that Mr. Kleinsmith claims that he is working closely with Cornell University and has conducted research on their behalf. In fact, as part of my consulting practice, I conduct studies at Cornell University on behalf of clients and can personally attest that Mr. Kleinsmith has never had direct contact with the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University nor is he presently conducting any studies at that instutition."
